Sessions are intentionally not timed. Instead of watching the clock, we move at your dog’s pace. Most sessions last between 45 minutes and 60 minutes, depending on energy level and comfort.
This flexibility is what allows genuine expressions and meaningful images to happen.

How long does it take to get the photos?

Where are you located?

Feel free to bring any favorite toys or treats (I’ll have plenty on hand if you don’t!)
A nice long walk before the shoot always helps to burn off excess energy.
If you usually take your dog to the groomer, just ensure that it's not the same day as the photo shoot or it may be a bit of sensory overload for them.. The goal is making sure we see your pup’s eyes clearly.

How do I prepare for my dog’s photo shoot?

All portrait sessions take place in my studio in Gillette, NJ, where lighting, background, and environment are carefully controlled to create consistent, polished artwork.

Will your dog be present?

No! Ellie will be hanging out with her grand-pawrents and your dog will have the space all to themselves :)

My dog doesn't really sit or stay - is that ok?

No training required. Truly.
Most of the dogs I photograph are not perfectly trained — and they don’t need to be. Movement, curiosity, and personality are part of what make your dog yours. I work with patience, positive reinforcement, and plenty of breaks to create a stress-free experience.

What is the cancellation/rescheduling policy?

Any cancellations will forfeit the $100 deposit.
Rescheduling - If you need to reschedule your photoshoot, 7 days notice is required otherwise your deposit is forfeit.

What if we're not able to get any photos of my dog?

Sometimes it happens - a pup is just not comfortable in a studio setting. There's a lot of new stuff and they're not into it. We work with them and take our time to avoid this but it could still happen. If this is the case, we're happy to try it again another day or if you don't want to then we won't charge you!

What is a dog portrait session like?

Each session is relaxed, unhurried, and designed entirely around your dog. We allow time for them to explore the studio, warm up, and show their personality naturally. Some dogs are playful, some are reserved, some need a little extra time — and that’s perfectly okay.
The goal is to create expressive, authentic portraits that feel like them, not forced poses.

Do you offer mini sessions?

I focus exclusively on full, custom portrait experiences so each dog receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. This approach allows for a calm environment and results in more thoughtful, expressive artwork.

Yes. Multiple dogs from the same household are welcome. Additional pets can be added to your session, and we’ll photograph them both individually and together whenever possible.

Can you photograph more than one dog?
