At Ava’s actual 1st birthday party, her cake was brought to her and she slam dunked her face into it.  Unfortunately I was off shooting a wedding so I missed this fantastic moment.  No worries – Ava’s mom and I decided we’d recreate it! We planned a cute outfit, we planned the location, we planned the cake, we even got another “1” candle.  Well what we didn’t plan on was Ava being entirely uninterested in this cake!!! It took some time and there was no face plop into the cake but we still got some great shots.  Happy 1st Birthday Ava!!!
