K and B didn’t just have a wedding day – they had a wedding weekend! With ceremony and reception planned for Woodcliff Manor, K realized it was her dream to still get married in a Catholic church and so a small elopement was planned for the day before at the Lady Chapel of St. Ignatius Loyola in NYC. Both days were filled with a ton of love, a ton of laughter (K’s laugh may be the best thing ever), family, and kids. Also as a treat for the kids there was a magic show, balloon animals, face painting/temporary tattoos (did I get a dog one on my arm? yes, yes I did), and freshly made donuts for everyone!
From the couple:
My husband and I decided our most important wedding vendor was the photographer. We had a daytime kid-friendly wedding. Since convincing infants and toddlers to sit still and pose for a camera is impossible, we knew we needed a photographer who would be flexible, patient, and had an eye for capturing those joyful candid moments children can bring. I had narrowed my search down to a few photographers, including Michelle, who I thought had great portfolios but was undecided. The next day we visited our venue to book it and I asked the event coordinator if he had any photographer recommendations. When he said Michelle K was there the night before and he found her to be very laid back and pleasant to work with, well, that sealed the deal! I loved her photos and our vendor said he enjoyed working with her too. What more could you want? We are SO happy with our decision. I cannot recommend her more highly. She truly is very flexible and accommodating and returned the most wonderful photos. My husband and I (and all our guests) look consistently gorgeous and happy in every frame. And there are a TON of photos. Michelle will give you quantity AND quality of photos. While she takes very many pictures, they are not simply shutter bursts. Every photo consistently shows a professional skill for framing, angles, and lighting- even in those fleeting candid moments with children! The entire wedding was a blur of activity and excitement, so it has been a wonderful pleasure to get to sit down and re-experience some of our favorite moments through her photos, which perfectly capture the joy of the day. You won’t regret hiring Michelle!
